Singing basically is the art of creating musical sounds with the voice, which is frequently differentiated with speech. Air is let out with the diaphragm as with normal breathing, and the pitch is changed via the vocal cords.

Singing done with lips closed is known as humming. A section of music with a singing component, either a cappella or accompanied, is known as a song, and the person who sings it is known as a singer. Nearly all forms of singing requires the voice to create worlds, but the kind of voice instrumental music which apply open sounds are also available, like the scat singing and yodelling.

Almost anyone who can speak will have the ability to sing, because in many respects singing is basically a continued speech.
