How Can I Succeed In Becoming Independent?

I am having some troubles at my home for twenty years and I feel it’s right for me to move out and look for my own place. I’m studying a degree, I’m jobless and single - but I do have some savings behind me. Any tips would be great.

Look for student friendly places, grant money you don't have to pay back or look for a roommate.

Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice. Decide what is important to you and do it. I left the hospital with a newborn baby, went home, packed up my stuff, my 3 yr old son's stuff and left my husband and moved in with a friend. I had no job, no car, and no money. But I knew I had to DO something and make some drastic, immediate changes in my life. And though it was difficult and at times I thought I wouldn't make it, I did. I still am.
I live with a friend so I don't pay as much rent as I would if I had my own apartment or house. I go to school full time now and take care of my kids. I struggle every single month to make ends meet, but it is worth it.
If you want something badly enough, you will do it. Apply for every scholarship there is. Check the bulletin board at your school for student housing or roommate situations. Look into work study at your school. Do what you have to do so that you can achieve what you need to do to make yourself happy and whole.
Don't wait. Do it for yourself.
