Answer Question

It is true that dark skinned people are at low risk of skin cancer than white people but even then they have significant chances of having this type of cancer. Color of skin is due to a dark pigment called melanin which is produced in the basal layer of epidermis. This pigment is present in higher quantities in black people than white and give more protection against skin cancer in black people.

Blacks can stay out in the sun all day and not get burned. The burn is what causes the cancer. The Blacks don't need sunblock. This occurred because they were out in the sun in Africa for millions of years.
