Pitt bulls a very good dogs if raised right i have one and i have three small children i trust my pitt bull more than i do a strangers little dog that is unfriendly all the bad publicity they get on tv are from people who think they are cool cause they have a aggressive dog so they make it that way but my pitt is sweet and laid back and most he would ever do is lick u to death but i have had some stupid ones and i got rid of them it not only depends on the raising of the dog but depends on the dog it self's attitude

I believe that a dog ( any dog ) is what he is because of who raises him/her.
If you teach him gentleness ...he will be gentle
if you teach him violence ...he will be violent
if you teach him obedience...he will be obedient
the same with children as they grow .
However ...i also believe that a dog was wild before it was domesticated and they have a natural instinct to protect themselves when provoked so i would not have a huge muscular dog that was bred as a guard dog around children and i would make sure that he was under control at all times.

You are just like the rest that judge a breed by what the stupid people who exploit them have done if what u say about dogs being wild then you are talking about all dogs not just pitt bulls i have a pitt bull and it has never even looked wrong at my children but my two year old was at a inlaws house with a little dog that everyone considers a safe famliy dog and was attacked for no apparent reason and got bit on the face pretty bad so if you judge pitt bulls know what your talking about
