Binary fission is a cloning process. In this one parent cell divides to make 2 daughter cells. It is a type of cloning because the parent cell and daughter cells are genetically similar.

A daughter cell can be formed by a fission process. Generally, there are two types of such processes .they are mitosis and meiosis
