Advertising can be done in two ways, either by adaption or by standardization. Standardization means that there would be minimum or no adaption. Standardization in advertising is done on the assumption that the target market has the same desires and tastes and their values and culture is also somewhat similar. So when a company makes an ad, it has to see what geographical areas are going to be the target market for the product. The same ad can be run in countries where the religious values, culture and tastes of the people are similar. On the contrary, if there is an area where all these things vary, the ad would have to be adapted in accordance with that society.
