My Furniture Is The Colors Coffee And Tan. What Would Be A Nice Soft Color To Paint A Living Room?

You could go with pastels of yellows, corals, oranges, all the 'warm' tones....to avoid it all being to monotonous, you could use brighter shades of the warm tones for your accessories; throw pillows, etc.....so that the room doesn't put everyone to sleep with all the pastels!!!  (just kidding!!) if  you go to the sites of paint companies, you can see color wheels, which will help you choose alternate colors for accessories, or, if you are adventurous, even your wall colors!!!!! But do look at a color wheel and familiarize yourself with the different types of color schemes....it's really a lot of fun!!

AND.............when you decide, say, on 2 or 3 wall colors, BE SURE to get some WHITE posterboard and some small samples of the colors you are interested in......paint small areas of the posterboard (one sheet is enough) and leave it in the room for at least 3 days.........that way, you can see just how light from different times of the day, as well as artificial lighting, affects the color; the one color you really like may turn out to not look so great!!!
