What Was Shakespeare First And Last Play?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

His first play is open to conjecture. Certainly "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" was on stage in 1589-90, said to be encapsulating his talent for "Comedy". Others disagree, and point to the history play "King Henry VI", as Shakespeare's first. Yet there are those who  prefer "The Taming of A Shrew"?.....     Shakespeare's last written play was "The Tempest", in 1611, but the last play with his name on is "The Two Noble Kinsmen", written, in collaboration with John Fletcher, in 1613-14, possibly at the indoor Blackfriars theatre.
