Is Our Drinking Water Safe?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

In advanced countries like USA and UK, drinking water is safe to great extent but things are not good in developing and under developed countries. Usually drinking water lines and sewerage lines run parallel in same tunnel and drinking water can be contaminated. Before use, such drinking water should be filtered and boiled to avoid any gastric infection and kidney damage.

Depends on your definition of safe. And depends on where you get your drinking water. Each municipality has separate treatment plants for water and then the condition of the pipes in your house can affect it also. You can request a water safety report from whomever you get your water and they will supply it to you for free. My water company sends me a report every year.
