What Do You Know About Atif Aslam?

They say true talent cannot be hidden for long, a perfect statement for a young boy from Lahore Pakistan. Though being a die hard fan of Cricket, with drink, eat and sleep cricket attitude, it is music that he has been more famously known for.

Atif Aslam, stormed into the music arena with his first song "Aadat" meaning habit for the newly formed band "Jal". A song which was an instant hit, took Atif Aslam to instant stardom. Topping the music charts became as a walk in to the park. As came fame, so came controversies, Atif soon fell apart from his band Jal, and decided to start of his own. He launched his first Solo Album "Jal Pari", in it the song "Woh Lamhey", which took him across the border.

With his songs famous in Pakistan, they started gaining popularity in the neighboring India. Atif got his break into India by the director Mahesh Bhatt's Nazar, where he recorded "Woh Lamhey". The song was an instant super hit, topping the FM charts for a whopping, 6-7 months!

If that was not enough, Atif sang his magic, with Tere bin stamping his authority on the South Asian music fans.

By the end of 2006, Atif was ready for his album "Doorie". With songs "Hum kiss Gali". It was hard to keep the album from the music charts. The videos still, tantalizing the music listeners by the mid of 2007.

As far as the future goes, Atif will be launching soon his Hungaami Halaat. A style of music that Atif claims to be his style and different from the funky Doorie.
With Various Awards in both Pakistan and India, Atif Aslam has a great future in the music Industry.
