The best approach is to simply look up all the banks near where you live. Also, a search on the Internet can be helpful. You could look in the information directory for banks in your area. If you are able to travel, you could search further afield.

The more banks you approach, the more likely you will be able to find an internship. Summer training is extremely helpful and could possibly lead to a career at the bank once you graduate. It will also help you to decide if it is the career that you want to go into. Not to mention, such training looks great on your CV. When you apply for work after graduating, prospective employers will be impressed to know that you already have relevant work experience although you are just out of university. Once you locate the banks, a professional letter to the human resources office or a preliminary phone call will help you to identify opportunities.

You have asked the question in the right time of your studies. In fact in many MBA institutes, the students do their summer training at the end of their third semester. The summer training is very critical for MBA students and adds value to the entire curriculum. Summer training generally extends for a period of 8 weeks after the third semester. It is a great help for the students as it helps them taste the real work environment and test their knowledge in their area of expertise.

It is during this training that they can really acquire the in depth understanding
in specialization areas. Generally the training and placement division of every
institute works with the students and industries for placement of students in
their desired areas of interest. Hence you must approach the T&P department
of your university and they should help you.

Reserve bank of India has opportunities for students seeking
summer training. Please visit the website at rbidocs.rbi.org.in

Other than this you can also approach ICICI bank (www.icicicareers.com)

      and HDFC bank (www.hdfcbank.com).
      They also recruit summer trainees.
