NO, they are diurnal. They hunt during the day. You will see some cheetah's out at night, because like all cats they have great night vision, but they are technically a diurnal creature, but like most animals in africa, a sound sleep is hard to come by, they sleep a few hours a night and are up right before dawn. Too many predators to have a relaxing night!!
