How Do I Find A Man Who Will Love And Respect Me?

Unfortunately there is no way of "finding" love and respect from a partner unless you have earnt it, through building a solid and strong relationship in the first place.

In our fast moving, want-it-all society, many people end up feeling lonely and depressed with their love lives. It is the one thing that we cannot simply go out and buy, stick on the credit card and obtain immediately.

If you are looking for a loving relationship you need to start making the chances of meeting someone who suits you for this kind of partnering more likely. For example, join clubs and societies that interest you - go dancing, swimming or even take archery lessons. Try to socialise with as many other people as possible, aside from hanging out in bars and clubs (where many people are after one thing only).

If you feel unattractive to others and this is about your confidence more than anything, you need to work at making yourself feel more appealing. If you look and feel great it will radiate from you, and others will be instantly attracted to that. Save some money and treat yourself to a new haircut, some fake tan, get your nails done or go for a massage. Indulging yourself is a great way to kick start your confidence as it means you are showing yourself love and respect firstly and foremostly.

Finally, don't try too hard. Anyone who has already met a great partner will tell you it probably happened when they least expected it. Although this is sometimes cliched rather a lot, it does ring true - so don't be fantasising that every man you meet will be "The One" - take it easy and have fun, and maybe a friendship will blossom into something more.

Don't worry about it. There are plenty of men out there who will love and respect you for who you are. Most of the time, the person who you end up with will have been right there most of your life. Just relax and take it one day at a time. Love will make its way to you whether you notice it or not.
