The forest management authorities could ensure that the companies who are involved in logging are only incorporating specific and selective cutting methods. This could be done by passing a set of legislations that forbids any sort of harmful practices. Another way for the forest management authorities to prevent forestry could be to ban the application of bulldozers or other kinds of heavy destructive equipment or machinery. But just the designation of these legislations is not the end of the story. For the sustainence of forests in both word and spirit, the forest management authorities should make sure that the legislations are strictly implemented and all those companies and stakeholders are punished who try to go against the law. Moreover this could be helped by the enforcement of village / farm forestry programs, something which will give the masses an insight on the benefits of forestry. Last but not the least, urban forestry programs should also be encouraged and marketed throughout the country to promote forestry.
