I have a 5 year old toy poodle who recently started having seizures! It only occurs one every few months right now, the vet told me until she starts having them more frequently (Once a month) that med is not needed! My dogs vet told me the best thing to do when she is having a seizure is to hold and comfort her. Hope this helps!

Thank you for replying, my dog is 8 years old, his seizures started a few months after my son passed away its not an eplictic seizure I think it mostly anxiety because he thinks I am leaving him, he was use to being with the both of us for 8 years. It so happens that when I took chance to the vet, he had one right there. He said it was unusual, usually dogs dont get seizures at 8 years of age. Your vet was right thought because every time he gets one, which has not been for a month now, I hold him in my arms and just pet him so that he knows I am not leaving, and within 1/2 an hour he is okay. In any case that you for your answer it is appreciated.
