    The Greeks is the name given to the population of people who have been staying in Greece right from 17th century BC till today. Greeks are mostly seen in the Greek peninsula of south-eastern Europe, the Greek islands and Cyprus. Greeks were consistently dispersed amid the Greek cape, the western coast of Asia Minor, Pontus and Constantinople, areas which coincided to a very big amount with the boundaries of the Byzantine Empire of the late 11th century and the regions of Greek colonization in the very old world. Other national Greek populations can be established from Southern Italy to the Caucasus and diaspora communities in a numeral of other countries. Nowadays, the huge bulk of Greeks are at slightest supposedly adherents of Greek Orthodoxy.
