What Would I Study On An Art Foundation Course?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Art foundation courses cover the basics of art and design, intended for allowing you to explore different areas of art and design so that you can decide which area is best for you. You will do some life-drawing, print-making, photography, graphic design, sculpture and much more.

An art foundation course lasts for a year, and in the first part, you will explore all the different areas. For the second part, you will be split into the areas which you like the best, with guidance from your lecturers. For the rest of the course you will work in your chosen area leading up to an examination in that area. After you've finished the course, you can study the area that you chose further at university if you wish. When you go for your interview at uni before you start, you will present a portfolio of work which you produced on your art foundation course.
