They are usually receptive sometime around the 8 to 12 day period. Many actual breeders' test progesterone levels. Have you done all your other testing and do you have the money saved up for the care during pregnancy and in case you need a c-section or any other problems you tend to run into? It is a bit concerning that you are asking if you intend to breed your dog. There is alot more to it than just throwing two dogs together and ending up with pups especially when done responsibly. Alot of risk, alot of money, and alot of responsibility and alot to know. And you should know a great deal of it long before you ever attempt to mate your dog. Here are some places to start and you should learn your breed (breeding, pregnancy, whelp, common and not so common health issues ect.) as well and also study up on STD's and common infections and things like that.
