    I don't know him, or you for that matter but if he really likes you he will wonder if it was the right thing to do and then he will be like oh forget it. Then he will get another girl friend but she will end up dumbing him for a hotter guy then he will come back to you saying your the only one for him. This is just one thing that could happen this might not come true so sorry.

      It depends on why you broke up and if he loves you. You need to talk to him because you obviously still want to be with him but you may be holding on to something that will never come. You need to get some closure whether it be good orbad because if its good then you can both get the balls rolling and start again but if its bad then you can move on and try to be happy again.
