What Causes Lung Cancer?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Primary cause of lung cancer is chronic bronchitis which is long term inflammation of the lungs. Smoking can be a cause of chronic bronchitis but so are many other pollutants. Another important cause of lung cancer is exposure to ionising radiation, especially long term exposure to radon which is a problem in many areas of the world. Radon is a colorless odorless radioactive gas that seeps from the ground in certain areas of the world. Radon seepage is also a problem along the lines of geological faults.
