The username that you are allotted by hotmail when you open an account is the first part of the e-mail address. For instance, if you are allotted an e-mail ID that reads tomdickharry@hotmail.com, then naturally your user name is "tomdickharry". In order to check your user name out when logged in to the hotmail account, simply access the options menu which is located on the top right hand corner of the screen. Then on the left you will see the Menu for Personal and within this access the icon for My Profile. You can also send somebody an e-mail to see what e-mail they receive.
