There are many species of tree frogs like res eyed tree frog, green tree frog etc. They live near, lakes, rivers, ponds, flood plains and marshes. They spend most of the time on the trees which are in water. They eat small insect like cricket.

To my knowledge tree frogs eat smaller insects. There are many around my house and the areas they inhabit are usually the less buggy ones.
