Ethernet Interface Card is a device that is used in Local Area Networks. It is also known as a Network Interface Card. The basic purpose of this device is to connect computers together for building a Local Area Network.

It helps the computers in sending and receiving data through the network.Normally the computers available in the market do not have this card. So it is installed inside the computer for making the computer able to work on a LAN. It is due to the Ethernet Interface Card that each computer gets a unique Media access control address.
