I believe all dogs need a rabies shot once a year during the first few years of their life. However, because there are so many breeds today, each breed has its own timing for different shots. Contact your vet and they would certainly know when your dog needs his or her next shot.

At this time, I think that the only rabies vaccines are 1 year and 3 years, the later being an option for dogs older than 1 year.
