In the beginning, you may feel a little uncomfortable towards your stepmother. You may not expect her to love you just like your previous mother. You may also expect a little cold behaviour from her as it may be new to her too. You don't have to be unfriendly towards her. You can talk to her on a daily basis and get to know her. Your stepmother can be your best friend if you try. But if your stepmother is getting in your way and is troubling you, it is better to confront her. If she still continues to trouble you, you need to talk to your father. Your father will talk to her and things might get better after that.

I have had 2 step-moms and so I know what you are going through!! My first step-mom treated me like I was Cinderella, it was torture. I told my dad how I felt and he started to notice what was going on. He divorced her and married again. I love my new step-mom!!
