Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Unlocking a phone without the authority or unlocking code from the user is normally in breach of the statement with the provider, though many countries do not make special laws prohibiting the deletion of SIM locks. (In many markets, it is also not liked that a user who has purchased a through price as you go phone over the counter in a save is legally bound by any such contract anyway).

For instance, in Poland, the law states that facilitator cannot word their user contracts so that they avoid the removal of SIM locks, and the procedure is whole legal facilitating that the IMEI amount of the phone is not replaced during the unlocking process.
In the United Kingdom under the Mobile Telephones (Re-programming) Act 2002, updating the IMEI of the phone is not legal. However, the IMEI is not replaced during any unlocking process.

In the Netherlands unlocking is given that the procedure does not overwrite the handset's flash memory with a duplicate of copyrighted firmware, since this would be a breach of copyright reverse by the company. However, unlocking a handset will provide its durability.
