Why Do I Get Visions While Listening To Music?

Everytime I listen to music I tend to have visions, or day dreams if you will. Each piece of music has its own vision, its rather odd. Does anyone know why this happens?

I don't think it's so unusual.  Different pieces of music arouse different feelings and emotions in me.  I associate some pieces with certain experiences.  For example, Beethoven's Ode to Joy is a very powerful piece of music for me.  It evokes strong feelings in me.  The fact that it was written by a deaf man overwhelms me.  You see visions, I feel strong emotions.  Music can do things like that to people.  I'm sure you've heard the quote "Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast".  Music has power over us.  It stirs emotions in us in all sorts of ways.

You may be feeling the Music and your brain is toying with the Lyrics.

It's natural. Sometimes the music, depending on what type it is, creates an image in your mind of something that would make the same mood. If you were listening to rock music, maybe you would see something big and exciting, such as a rock slide, or a volcanic eruption.
