How To Calculate Time If You Know The Speed And Distance?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Speed is equal to distance divided by time. So if you know the speed, (example: 9 feet/second) and know the distance (example: 27 feet), you multiply them together (243). And to get the correct unit you cancel them out (in this problem you would cancel out the unit for distance which is feet, leaving you with seconds), so 9 feet/ second x 27 feet = a time of 243 seconds.
