How Can I Determine A Good Cheerleader?

There are certain qualities that are considered important for a cheerleader, not least of which is high moral character. These general requirements have been laid down by the National Cheerleaders Association. The individual should be energetic, full of stamina, not timid yet not confident to the point of being conceited, must have a good sense for rhythm, good co-ordination abilities, a good voice or yell, ability to modulate tones and stress pronunciations, neat and tidy in their dressing habits especially towards their uniforms, sound health and good knees and backs and most importantly should be proud of what they do.

Cheerleading can be traced back to the 1860s in the United States and the first ever cheerleader, so to speak, was appointed by the University of Minnesota in 1898.
