Why Was Le Louvre Built?

The Le Louvre was first built as a castle for Henry V but the real question I can't figure out is who built it I searched that up about 100 times but still no answer but yeh it was actully first built for Henry V

Le Louvre or The Louvre is one of the oldest and most famous art gallery and museum in the world. It was inaugurated in the Capetain dynasty and the modern day structure was established in 1793. It was built for preservation of royal Louvre collection, French academy collection, confiscations from the church and immigrants during the French revolution. It also housed the artworks that were brought back by the French Army from throughout the Europe.

It was originally built to serve the monarch's Palace.

The Louvre was initially designed by a French man by the name of Philip the II Augustus

Nearly 35,000 objects from the 6th millennium BC to the 19th century AD are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square meters (652,300 square feet).
During the French Revolution the Louvre was used as a museum, to display the nation's masterpieces.
They have sculptures, decorative arts, paintings, prints and drawings in the museum.
380,000 objects and displays 35,000 works of art.

3. WHEN? When did it open and when did the construction start?
The building started construction in the 12th century.
It opened in August 10th 1793.
Later in 1796 it closed down because of structural purposes but then opened again in 1803.

The Louvre is located in Paris, France.

5. WHY? Why was it built? Is there any cultural/spiritual significance?
To protect the artifacts from getting stolen. Also to initially keep the king Henry V from getting hurt by people who were against his laws and decisions.
