Maybe you could put gift cards as a gift request on the card, or cash to pay for the honeymoon. I know when my wife and I got married we received several gift cards and cash, came in really handy.

My husband and I already had our house set when we married. We really needed help with our honeymoon. We registered for something called Honeymoon Outlet. We created our registry on line, and provided the url on our invitation enclosure. Our gifts totaled over $25oo. We wrote things like... Breakfast in Bed one morning for the Honeymoon Couple $40.oo, Sunset Dinner Cruise 1 at $5o.oo... Etc.

I just received an invite in the mail and it said..."Bride and Groom Registered at Bank of America... Cash or Checks gladly accepted. It made gift giving easy for me!

Or, if you're feeling really selfless, why not request donations to the couple's favourite charity?
