How Is Cane Corso Mastiff With Children?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

That's not a breed for everyone and even adults can have problems with them. They require tight control and alot of training ability and continue to test and see if they can take alpha. They have a great deal of natural aggression as well. You may want to look into a different breed (they all require training). Check out the parent clubs as they usually have tons of info (usually a section labeled breed information) as well as lists of breeder's and rescues (who also are extremely informed about their breed). You could look into Mastiff (English), Neapolitan Mastiff's, and Dogue de Bordeaux's or even a Great Dane. They generally have a temperament that's a bit more stable within the family (breeding and training is also a factor of course). Good Luck!

Very true - really think about this breed first i own 3 full size corso's and they can not play in parks or ever be off the lead in public places, my kids can never walk them - they are very alothe with srangers inc kids - watch them like a hawk.
NEVER leave a corso with a child EVER - if they are raised from a pup with kids they will learn to ignore them but the child will need rules and boundaries as well as the dog - make sure your prepared for this battle of wills for life
