 Barkingside is an area that falls into the region of London Borough of Redbridge. It is the main suburban development. Some of the nearby areas that can be a helpful landmark are Clayhall, Fairlop, Gants Hill and Newbury Park. The London Borough of Redbridge is a borough of London that is located to the east of London, England. It derives its name from the bridge that runs over the River Roding. The specialty of this bridge is that it is built of red bricks other than the usual white stones.

The famous schools found in the area of Barkingside are Ilford County High School and King Solomon High School. Barkingside is very well - known for the children's charitable trust Barnardo's. It was started in the year 1866.
