Do All Ford Focus Cars Turn Off Dipped Headlights When You Turn On Main Headlights?
My fiancée has a 2001 Ford Focus Ghia 1.6. At night, when driving with dipped headlights, she'll turn on the main headlights and the dipped headlights go off, so that only the main ones are on. When she turns off the main headlights, the dipped ones come on again. I've never seen this before, in my experience when you turn on main headlights the dipped headlights stay on too. Is this a feature with all Ford Focuses, or has her car got a malfunction?

No, this is normal, we have a 2002 Ford Focus Ghia 1.6. All of the Focuses have this feature. I think only Focuses do this, it is just the way it was designed.
