    Can Your Dog Become Infected With HIV After Biting Someone Who Is Infected With HIV?

    About 2 months ago my bull mastiff had bitten my friends boyfriend during a fight they were having in our garage,''she was protecting my friend'',anyways she has been very lethargic losing weight!i took her in and they cant seem to find the problem, now i was just informed that the person she bit was diagnosed with HIV almost a year ago! She also has soars on her chin that bleed for about the last 2 weeks and i have a new born baby that she loves.

    HIV is "Human immunodeficiency virus" which transfers from humans to humans only. So there is no chance at all that your dog gets infected through it. The HIV virus can not survive in the animals. Don't worry she is safe.
