CV is the abbreviation of curriculum vitae. In your CV you can write about your personal profile, education, experiences and hobbies. You can easily find any resume format online. There are many sites which provide the best resume format. You just put information related to the questions.
If you want to create a resume then you should make a cover letter. Then you should create the resume.
Resume contains your personal profile, which includes your name, age, marital status, address and phone no.
After that you will write about your education. Your institutions from where you got education. When you got admission and when you completed your degree.
After that if you have any other skills like your certificates in extra curricular activities.
If you have any experience of job you would mention it.
After that you will shortly describe about you abilities.
This document can be written in Microsoft word program.

Information is exactly what we have for you here! :)

The first thing I want you to do is (If you are using Windows) click on "Start" in your task bar. Then the bar that opens, click on "New Office Document" in it. Now select the tab "Other Documents" in the duologue box that opens. Now choose whichever form of resume interests you. When you open that document, you will see a ready made resume in it, where you'll just have to put in your information and you have a Resume ready!

Now in case you are not using Windows then you should know that a CV always starts with your name on the top, your contact information near your name, your objective in the body followed by your experience, education, skills like computer, linguistic etc. References are to be mentioned at the end.

Your CV should also mention the achievements you have had. When you are writing the 'experience' part, always mention the achievements you have had at whatever place you have worked at.Other than that, it looks very impressive when you mention your achievements in numbers for example: "Managed a staff of 15 people."

If this doesn't satisfy you then any good search engine like Google would give you a lot of formats and tips.

In order to secure  job, the first and foremost thing you have to do is to convince the employer to grant you an interview.  You have to make an impression on the employer, with the help of your resume and get your foot in the door. This is the purpose that your resume serves. And guess what!! Most employers do NOT even read resumes!! They simply scan them. And they only scan them for a mere 30 seconds. This means you have to be able to make an impression and secure an interview with in the brief span of  30 seconds.

You first need to choose a format for your resume. It can be:

        1. Chronological Resume: It is written in a reverse chronological order, Listing your most recent education and experiences  first. It is also the easiest to prepare  and is  the most commonly used format.

        2. Functional Resume: This format emphasizes your skills and abilities more than where you worked or where you went to school. Dates are also not made important..
        3. Combination Resume: The combination resume is a mixture of the above two, as is obvious from its name. It is more difficult and time consuming to prepare but  it helps you in calling attention to your skills and abilities.

The format you choose to use should depend on the job you are applying for. You have to tailor your resume to your employers needs. Emphasize those skills, abilities and qualifications that match the job requirements.

When you write your C.V. remember these points.
If you're practical experience is 10 or less than 10 years then your C.V. must be on one page. Don't make your C.V. a history book.
Your C.V. must be printed in original A4 size. It is also called business size.
Always staple your picture, never ever you glue or common pin, or paper clip.
In your contact information write your e-mail addresses if you check your mail on daily basis otherwise avoid it.
In research work you have to shown your academic achievement.
In training there is no need to mention year or time, only valuable workshops.
In work experience you mention your current position, company year when you start. Don't mention year if there is lack or space in the time during your job.
In achievement write your promotions, your credits and your efficiency.
In professional membership don't write yo0ur personal memberships in any club or Jim. If you are professional member of any club then write.
In personal information do not write your height, colour, cast, and write date of birth, NIC number, passport number and personal interests.
I am writing all the contents and explain them you can make changes according to your requirement.
