What Was The Reason Behind Abandoning The Truce Signed Between Israel And Palestine By Hamas?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In attribution to the Israeli army raids over the stretch of the last weekend that resulted in the killing of nine Palestinian being inclusive of two teenagers and five militants, Hamas declared an end to the truce signed between the states of Israel and Palestine.  The raid was incorporated in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip last week.

Marking the end of the truce that was signed on the 26th of November last year, Hamas claimed to have fired dozens of rockets in the Jewish state right when it was celebrating its Independence day to 'avenge the assassinations committed by the enemy (Israel)'.

Despite of those firings doing no harm or casualties to anyone, Israel pledged to confront the 'terrorists' who had fired the rockets, apparently forgetting about its own army raid that took the lives of nine people.  Till this raid happened, Palestine had a clear-cut positive stance regarding the truce, nevertheless Israel had the chutzpah to break the truce and furthermore blame Palestine for launching 'terrorist attacks'.
