    Argon is said to be a chemical element that is generally designated by the symbol of Ar. The atomic number of the argon gas is 18 and it comes as the third element in the group 18 of the periodic table. It is said that in the atmosphere of the earth around less than 1 per cent of the argon gas is present. The argon gas has a full outer shell that makes the argon gas stable and resistant to bonding with other elements. In the international Temperature scale of the year 1990, the triple point of temperature of 83. 8058 K is a defining point of the gas.

    The solubility of argon in water is the same as that of the oxygen gas and is said to be 2.5 times more soluble in water that the Nitrogen gas.
