    Gabon, formally known as the Gabonese Republic, basically is a nation located towards the west central Africa. It shares its borders with Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, and Republic of Congo and also with the Gulf of Guinea.

    After attaining independence from France on August 17th, 1960 Gabon gas been administered by only two dictatorial Presidents. The initial settlers of this region were the Pygmy people, over the period of years they were substituted and absorbed by the Bantu tribes. According to the census conducted in the year 2005 the total population of this region was 1,384,000 and the average density was said to be 5.2 per square kilometre.

    The total are of this region was 267,668 square kilometres. The capital of this country is Libreville and the official language spoken in this country is French.
