Of course, why not! I have a 12 year old girl babysit for my two children (5 + 8)! She's great and very mature. Of course there are limitations.. I personally wouldn't let a 12 year old babysit for more than 4 hours or after 10:00 (possible risk of falling asleep). I wouldn't let them babysit children under a year old, but other than that sure I'm sure lots of people would hire you!

Yes there is. Dont look in the papers because people will laugh at you or say your to young. So ask somebody you know and tell them why you want to babysit like if you are trying to save up money for a cellphone.

Im 16 now and I have 9 brothers and sisters.Alot of people asked me to babysit when i was 12 because I was very mature sometimes its the experience that counts.
Im almost 13 and i am a tutor in math, a straight A student, and took a babysitting course, first aid, and CPR, but the thing is i want to babysit locally. Does anyone living near leominster need any babysitting?

I am, also 12 and i want to get into a babysitting job very soon. I too took the red cross babysitting class, CPR, and first aid. I think as long as the parents are comfortable with it, u will do great!

Totally! I'm 12 and I started a baby-sitting "business" (xD) with my friend and people don't mind letting us baby-sit their child(ren)! :)

Actually you should ask yourself: Who would probably hire me as babysitter? Your neighbors maybe, your aunts perhaps, or you might need to spread leaflet around your blocks. What you can't do is probably apply for babysitter job in babysitter agency.

Okayy well I just turned 12 on july 18th and my kayak teacher ( we know her very well) she asked if i wanted to babysit her 5 year old and also her 1 and a half year old. The kids love me. And i work almost everyday because the bunisses is very busy and they are either cleanin boats answering phones or helpin people how to kayak or on kayak tours! So yes i think 12 year olds can babysit even young toddles! ( try to babysit someone who you know a little dont just walk into a strangers house) Well have fun! :D

Yeah.. Of course... Talk to people you know and ask them if they need a babysitter fer a few hours. Im sure you should make at least $25-45. Im 13 and i babysat from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. I made 40 dollars a day. I worked 2 days a week. So yeah there defiantly are jobs fer 12 year olds.

When I was 12 I was very mature and helped with little kids a lot. I once looked in paper and called people to ask about baby sitting. No one wanted a 12 year old and a couple laughed at me and hung up.
