General reflexology works mainly with the belief that the feet and hands correspond with all of our body organs and systems. Hand reflexology is developed mainly to relieve any tension and stress within the body, and balance the body which improves the blood and nerve supply.

The technique with hand reflexology includes using finger and thumb and it can be practised almost anywhere. A trained reflexologist will be able to give you tips on how to perform the technique on yourself and you can easily do it whilst on a bus, sat in the park, or even whilst sat at your desk. Many people swear by the benefits of it, and it is generally used when it is inappropriate to use your feet.

Hand reflexology is not as popular as foot reflexology, but it still provides many benefits to those who use it. A professional reflexologist will use a hand chart which shows them which areas relate to which body organ etc. Overall, it is far better to get a professional to perform hand reflexology on you, but if you want to, it is possible to do it to yourself!
