The game 300....Hydarnes has claws for hands and after I break his armour he jumps onto a cage and i can not reach him what do i do?

You run to one pillar and he will throw one of his hands and it will gat stuck then run to the second pillar and the same will happen then you ketp throwing spears at him and can please some one tell me how to get his armor of
