The vacation that I remember the most as being educational and fun was my family traveling to Cherokee, NC back when I was 14 or15 years old (long before they had the casinos there).  They had an amphitheter there and they had a play named "Unto These Hills" that played there at night.  It was about the Indians and the Settlers and the Trail of tears....it was fun and educational as well.  The only thing that kept me from REALLY enjoying it.....it was very cold on the side of that moutain at night and we were NOT prepared...so we sat shivering as we watched.

One of the funniest and education(i guess) was when I was like 7 or 8 my mom and dad took me and my sister to the Jack Daniels Distillery . You may have guessed they both loved Jack Daniels. Lol I was fun i still have the picture of me and my sister who was 10 dressed just alike in front of the statue of ole Jack him self. Lol  The other time was when I was 30 my husband to me to Washington D.C.  And then to New Jersey and to see the statue of Liberty. I had fun in New York but Washington blew my mind i was like a kid in a candy store seeing all the places i had studied about in school and never thought i would ever get to see them in person. It was breath taking

Took the ghost tours because they say its one of the most haunted cities from the war fought there (spanish and Indians) they still have a working gallows to - very educational
