Is Sly 3 Honor Among Thieve The Last Sly Game?

Ok... Speculation about future game releases is very tricky, especially since the studios are generally very tight-lipped regarding work in progress.

Based on an interview in a 2007 issue of PSM (PlayStation Magazine), there was a great deal of excitement and speculation regarding a pair of games slated to be launched for the PS3 and the PSP, that would have some sort of connectivity at launch, and they were due to be unveiled at the 2007 E3 media event... These things did not come to pass, and in fact it turned out that Sucker Punch had moved to a more realistic (and much darker) type of game when their newest game 'inFamous' was unveiled instead.

However, all is not completely without hope, as Brian Fleming of Sucker Punch Productions stated in an interview that "We're broadening ourselves a little bit, taking on some new challenges," but also noted that "I think it's extremely likely that you'll see us return to the 'Sly Cooper' franchise at some point in the future."

So while the immediate future looks a little grim for those of us who are fans of the series, there is still hope that some time in the (hopefully not too distant) future we may be treated to another gaming gem from the team that brought the first three Sly Cooper games. Here's to hoping for another 3 games, eh?
