Where Will I Be Able To Fly With Virgin America?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Virgin America, a new US-based low cost airline is expected to begin operations later in 2007. The airline will be based in San Francisco and the first, scheduled route will be to New York City's JFK Airport. If everything goes according to current plans, Virgin America will also fly to major destinations on the American West coast, such as Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego. There will also be a number of southern destinations, such as Dallas, New Orleans, Tampa, Atlanta, Miami and Orlando.

Although it is expected that Virgin America will offer lower fares than most major US airlines, there is no precise information available at this point on the planned fare structure. Despite its discount nature, fares are not expected to be as low as those on similar, no-frills European carriers. Additionally, unlike most discount airlines, Virgin America will offer first class service at augmented rates. Currently, flying is still much more expensive in the US, than in western Europe.
