How The Injuries After Being Abused Should Be Treated?

Answer Question

Skin lesions, bruises, cuts, and burns are the most common symptoms of child abuse. Fractures are the next most common child abuse sign. Regularly abused children may have numerous fractures in different stages of healing. The bones that are most typically injured are the upper arm bone, the thigh bone and the shin bone. Rib fractures are also very common. So, the orthopaedic surgeon examines the outline and pattern of bony injuries to identify the possibility of abuse. He or she must also treat those injuries. In cases of adult family violence doctors will ask about their patient's safety and security, offer or provide information about domestic violence resources, schedule and plan the appointments with the patient for treatment

Doctors must account and report cases of adult domestic violence in capable adults only with the victim's prior knowledge. This report could set the patient in greater danger or risk from their abuser. Reporting requirements vary in every area. Doctors should take decisions on whether to make a report or not on a case-by-case basis.

Elder abuse patients who are supposed to be in instantaneous and immediate danger must be hospitalized. Then doctors make use of a team approach to treat the injuries. With the team they build up a plan to make it sure that there is a safe environment for patients after they leave the hospital. Health care workers can also take an account of such issues.
