If its external spots, they make a special cleaner, you can find it at Wal-Mart.  That will take care of your problem.  It actually says in the owners manual to only use the special cleaner, to do else wise could damage your screen.  Good fortune.  You could also probably try Radio Shack.

As far as internal problems, contact the company via the owners manual.  It's probably still under warranty.  If you have your receipt, you could take it back to the store.  Some places will even make an even trade, without a receipt..

The big problem with do it yourself tv repair is, a tv stores power even after it's unplugged, making a dangerous situation.  I would guess your problem is a little more than dirt.  Call in the professionals, even if the warranty is up, the company will usually fix the set for less, than any other.

Use a cheeze cloth with warm water. Squeese all the water out of it before you use it till it appears almost dry.

You must take the panel off the back of the TV and delicately clean the mirrors inside.  The dust on the mirrors are what causes the dark spots on the screen.
