Who Are Some Great Defenders To Use In The PC Game Football Manager?

Some great defenders to use in the game might be:

John Terry, a great central defender, a pretty good captain too.
Rio Ferdinand, another great central defender
John O'Shea, the Irishman makes a great left defender
Gary Neville is a great right defender, and a good Captain
Wes Brown is pretty good too. Silvestre is also good.
Ledley King makes a pretty great defender, although he plays Defensive Midfielder best.

Do a player search and look through the defenders, look for those who are affordable who play outside of your country, or are great but in teams that aren't equal to your team.  Another team of your value is not going to want to sell their best players to you are they!?

Try looking at France, Spain, Holland and Italy, because those players do not need a work visa to work in the UK or Europe. Choose defenders from cold countries, I don't know why, it just works!
