Where Is High Legh And Can You Tell Me About Its Cricket Club?

    The village of High Legh is located in the county of Cheshire, England. It is located to the North West of England. The village economy is agricultural and, in time immemorial was once the home to the Legh's and Leigh's titled families.

    The village is perhaps most famous for the High Legh Cricket Club also better known as St John's Cricket Club of High Legh. The team is called the Vicar's XI. The club itself was started in the summer of 1999.

    The first match the team suffered a devastating defeat, other defeats followed before success paid a visit in 2003. The team plays and practices on the cricket grounds of Arley, Lord and Lady Arley's home.    

    The current captain and vice captain of the team are Jonathan Underhill and Matt Atherton respectively. The clubs current Secretary and Honourary President are Charles Jesudason and Michael Cavanagh respectively.
