Is It Better To Have A Short Or Long Engagement Before Marriage?yes Or No

I really don't think it matters because in a marriage both parties grow and they grow together on a daily basis and the question is as they grow will they grow together or apart, so a long engagement or short has no bearing on the union of the couple,you either grow to match one another and this you won't know until you are together on a daily basis,hopefully you both will be prepared for the work that goes into marriage,talk to couples that have endured and get some pointers of course I'm sure you know what pointers you can use and those that you can discard,the length of the engagement really does not matter,as long as you feel you know this person well enough to trust him or her with making you happy in life and love...good luck

I think it does matter I have been married 3 times and divorced 3 times you really don't know a person fully till you live with then everything seems to change after marriage I don't know why but it does, but it is probably because I didn't wait

That will have to be decided by the two.  People are different and I know people who have been mates for twenty years without marriage, so if you know enough about each other's likes, dislikes, moods, habits, and above all, love each other, then it is time.

From a personal point of view, a long engagement is best. I would rather be engaged 10 years than get married and divorce soon after.
